Cat Allergies
Many people with cat allergies can tolerate or live symptom free with a Siberian cat. The protein called Fel d1 found in a cat's saliva is the allergen most people are allergic to . This protein is spread all over their fur while they are grooming. Siberians produce a lower
amount of this Fel d1 allergen protein then any other breed. Most Siberian cats are hypoallergenic/low allergy. Fel d1 is also present in the sebaceous glands (skin) and the anal glands, which explains sensitivity to litter boxes.
Our Cattery focuses on breeding low allergen Siberian cats while keeping
confirmation and temperament but we strongly suggest visiting our cattery and
interacting with our Siberians before making a decision to purchase.
Many people are symptom-free or have a reduced reaction. There is no such thing
as a Non-allergenic cat. Please beware if someone tells you otherwise.
